Task 1: GYSD Photo Introduction - Let's take a group picture!
Ask your students to take a group picture (a photo introduction) with a poster which will include the following:
- name of your school
- Global Youth Service Day
- A motto / phrase / 2-3 key words to indicate the topic you have chosen (For example - "Let's keep our city clean", "We choose Bio Bags" or "Different, but Equal")
The photo will be used to introduce your team and find national and international partners. See several sample pictures below.
Please upload your students group picture to the iEARN-Moldova GYSD folder or send it to email@example.com .
Task 2: Let's share GYSD ideas on the iEARN Youth Forum
Ask your students (2-3 students per group) to access the GYSD Youth Forum and upload their group picture accompanied by replies to the questions listed below:
a) How do you plan to celebrate GYSD with your school colleagues?
b) What activities do you plan to organize?
c) Who is going to help you (your teachers, your parents, the school administration, local NGOs, the mayor office)?
d) How are you planning to tell other people about your project (through Facebook, class website, blog, school newspaper)?
Task 3: Choose your team "reporter"
After the project is implemented, your students will be asked to create a video/media online project which will be shared with other participants. The project will reflect on your students participation, will include images and quotes, so start collecting those as soon as you can. We will be voting for the best Global Youth Service Day media projects, so this should motivate your students to be as active as possible!
Please choose one or several students who will be your team "reporters". Their task is going to be collecting media materials for the final video / media / online project: pictures, posters, video interviews, quotes from participants, etc.
Post the "reporter" name (or names) and email address on the iEARN Teacher Forum.
